Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for two experienced Fit out Operations Managers with approximately 20 years experience in the fit-out of high end, retail, residential and hospitality projects.
You will be responsible for managing multiple managers and departments for the execution of turnkey interior-fit out projects in the GCC.
Previous hands-on experience and good leadership and communications skills.
You will be working with veteran carpentry and paint production managers, and will need both tact and resolve to be able to address any / all issues.
You will assist in the establishment, and ensure compliance of operational unit’s shorter and long term goals with overall corporate objective.
Be able to improve on logistics and overall manufacturing to site structure.
Plan, staff and supervise all assigned worked, and established a network of continuous information and data between the commercial, design, procurement, and production department.
Provide support to any number of projects from an operational and resource standpoint.
Responsible for developing strong field force for various sites by monitoring availability and flow of personnel and well as assigning teams to projects.

Requirements

Degree qualified or trade background with a latter qualifications.
Experience with fit-out contractors / manufacturers on high quality projects, five star hotels, hospitality, etc…
Previous senior management (operational, contractual or commercial) is a distinct advantage
Language: English, Arabic is a major plus

Mature outlook with strong personality and ability to work with a multicultural workforce

Job Description

Review the accuracy of all sub-contractors daily, weekly and monthly reporting for maintenance and defects
Participate in the prequalification and selection of sub-contractors
Management of all interior fit out works to program, budget and quality
Ensure Projects are delivered on time and within budget
Oversee the daily site works and issuing of site instructions
Development of procurement and time schedules for each fit out project
Manage teams to achieve project goal
Interacting with clients to understand their specific requirements and execute projects accordingly, with efficient Client Relationship Management.
Efficient management of sub-contractors and other suppliers
Coordination with other departments to deliver the best service to clients
Executing projects while maintaining maximum profitability to the company
Spearheading efforts across supervising, checking and coordinating the interior works
Identifying and developing vendors and contractors for the project execution
Facilitate in resource procurement, ensuring quality as well as cost efficiency
Drawing detailed project plans, cost estimates, cost benefit analysis to ascertain technical and commercial viability

Requirements

Education : B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering Experience:
Total 5-8 yrs UAE experience with Minimum 5 yrs experience as Project Manager in an Interior Fit-out firm in UAE.
Excellent communication skill, negotiation and coordination skills
Open attitude towards working flexible hours based on Projects
UAE Driving Licence is a must

Excellent leadership qualities with knowledge and experience in systems and procedures in Interior Fit-out Projects.

Implement the project programs on site in an organized and cost effective manner in accordance with the approved design, quality standards and within agreed time frames.
Responsible for obtaining the drawings of the project and assess the material & manpower requirements accurately
Assist in preparation of accurate project programs

Track project milestones and deliverables
Ensure a smooth Hand Over of the site to the client

Requirements

A qualified Civil Engineer with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in high-end fitout projects
Experience in handling several medium sized projects
Should have solid experience and handled responsibilities as a Project Engineer
Sound people management and communication skills
An eye for detail and exposure to site environment round off the qualities
Must have 3 years minimum UAE experience and be currently residing in UAE
Degree or Diploma in Engineering essential
UAE driving license essential
Preference to DM Licence Holders
